The Church in Strasbourg

13 March, 2017 France, Europe, France

In 1990, my wife, our three children and I left the Ukrainian church in Yakutia. In 1991 I was ordained for pastoral service in Chulman, Neryungri District. There was an established church of new believers in God. Far north, among the atheist and the occult population, we learned to trust and rely on God especially because of the lack of stability in our lives. We prayed about everything, including the issue of moving to a new location.

For 8 years we prayed for a revival in Europe. After attending the Prague European Russian Speaking summit in March 2016 and hearing testimonies and calls to come to Europe, God changed our circumstances and we understood that we need to leave to minister in France. Christianity and churches are declining in comparison to the Islamic movement. When visiting Strasbourg we saw the need of opening a new church. Russian Speaking believers who gather for Bible study are already there, but they are in great need to open a church. The population is around 400,000 but there no Russian Speaking church. I received the Bulgarian citizenship through my mother which helps me to stay in France. We moved to France in December 2016 after God called us to do so and we are ready to stay here. Please pray for us and thank you for your support financially and in prayers.

With prayers for you and your families – Sergey Babich
